Colorado has some of most beautiful scenery I’ve ever seen, and some of the most accessible spots to have family photos taken at. Whether you want to pull off the side of the road, or you’re willing to walk a few minutes down a trail, there are so many options. Here are a few of my most favorite Denver photo locations.
MT FALCON WEST
Mt. Falcon West has just about everything you could want for epic family photos. There is a big open field, mountain views, and each season offers it’s own special twist on the location to make it even more beautiful. This location is accessible to anyone. The dirt trail is pretty flat and is very stroller friendly! Always a favorite Denver photo location.
MT FALCON EAST
This is a client favorite because it offers views of the beautiful Red Rocks Amphitheater without fighting the crowds. Some of my favorite locations are just a few minutes from the parking lot. If you are feeling a bit more adventurous, you can walk down the hill to a little lake that also offers beautiful views of Red Rocks.
CHAUTAUQUA PARK
This iconic spot offers epic views of the flatirons in Boulder, Colorado. Chautauqua Park is hard to beat! There are plenty of paved trails to take, but just right off the parking lot offers amazing family photo opportunities at the base of the flatirons. GOLDEN HISTORY PARK
The Golden History Park in Golden, Colorado is the perfect close-to-town denver photo location that offers lots of trees, a beautiful river that runs right through it and a fun bridge to play on. Families with little ones love this spot for Colorado family photos. In the fall, all of the trees are bright yellow making for amazing photo opps. This is also one of the few spots in Colorado that does not require a commercial photography permit!
