So, what’s the booking process and what does it look like?

Inquire

The first step is to submit an inquiry form. This helps me get a better idea of what you are looking for and also gives you an opportunity to address any questions or concerns you might have. This is also a great chance to see if we are a good fit; if that’s something you are on the fence about. If you are ready to get rolling on the booking process, you can submit an inquiry form here.

Answering Your Questions about Family Photos

My focus is always YOU! I don’t do automated emails, for this reason. An automated email is not helpful to you or me. So, within 24 hours you will receive a communication from me addressing any questions you have or guiding you on the next steps.

Client communication is super important to me, so I always give you the option to communicate in the most convenient way for you–text, email, or a phone call. Your photos are all about you, so the booking process is too.

Location, Date + Time Selection

The next steps are fun! We work together to make the vision you have for photos come to life. If you aren’t quite sure what you want those to look like, I’m happy to help and offer as many suggestions as needed.

Once we have answered all your questions I will send over a brochure that has my package + location options. Of course these are not your only options, but a great place to start. In this brochure you’ll be able to select the package and location that feels right for you.

Then, I’ll send over a booking link. Using this link, you will be able to view my availability in real time and select a date and time that works well for you.

Finalize Your Booking for your Family Photos

The final step is to sign a contract + pay a retainer fee. A contract protects you and me and ensures we will both do our jobs. A retainer fee holds your date and time so no one else can book it and goes towards the total cost of your session.

Once I have received a signed contract + paid retainer fee you will be officially booked and I will send over a booking confirmation + style guide to help make picking out your outfits just a little easier.

Outfit Selection

I get it. Picking out outfits is stressful no matter who you are. This is why I share my outfit style guide with you after you book. This provide some really helpful tips, tricks, and ideas to selecting outfits. Remember though, these are YOUR photos, so I want you to look like…YOU!

I am always available to text or email back and forth and offer my expertise on what will work well together.

Getting to Know You

Along the way, we usually get to know each other a little bit. However, to help you have the BEST experience, I always like to get to know you and others who will be at the shoot a little better. About a week before your session I will send over a questionnaire. This has questions such as “Who will be at your family photos?”, “What can I do to connect with you at your session?” and “Do you or anyone at your session have any insecurities you’d like me to be aware of.” Amongst a few other things.

This has been a game changer and has helped me create sessions and environment where everyone can feel comfortable so we can capture those genuine moments of love, joy, and laughter.

Photo Day!

The day of your family photos is so fun! Using everything I know about you I create and capture the moments we have discussed and lots more using my experience and expertise.
