Engagement Photos at Eagle Mountain Ranch

If you’ve been around here for a minute, you know I’m always on the hunt for locations that are beautiful, but always feel like “you”. And, for this engagement session, the couple really wanted something rustic and western to match their vibes. And this session at Eagle Mountain Ranch? It was exactly that.

As a St. George photographer, I shoot in a lot of beautiful places, but there’s something about this one that just feels different in the best way.

What is Eagle Mountain Ranch?

Eagle Mountain Ranch is tucked out near Gunlock, just outside of St. George. It’s about a 25–30 minute drive, but it feels like you’ve completely stepped away from everything.

It’s quiet, open, and honestly just really peaceful. No crowds, no distractions and lots of wide open space, soft desert tones, and mountains all around you. Which, if you’re a little nervous about photos (literally everyone is), makes such a difference.

Why I Love It for Photos in St. George, Utah

There are so many places to take  photos in St. George, Utah, but Eagle Mountain Ranch is one of those spots that gives you a lot of variety without having to go anywhere else.

You’ve got:

  • Open fields
  • That soft, desert landscape
  • A little bit of western/rustic charm
  • And the prettiest mountain views when the sun starts to drop

It’s one of those locations where we can just wander a bit, let things unfold naturally, and not feel rushed, which is usually when the best moments happen anyway.

It’s More Than Just a Photo Location

One of my favorite things about Eagle Mountain Ranch is that it’s not just a pretty place it’s actually an experience.

They host weddings and events, and you can even:

  • Go horseback riding
  • Stay overnight in their cabin
  • Spend time on the property instead of just popping in for photos

So if you wanted to turn your session into a slower, more intentional evening (or even a little getaway), you totally could. And honestly… I wish more people did.

If you’re looking for a spot for beautiful photos in St. George, Utah that feels a little more private and offers more green than the usual red rock landscape, this is such a beautiful spot!
